At High Ground Insurance Services, we are different. We are professionals who have experienced big-broker culture, compensation plans, top-down management… and we didn’t like it.
Since opening in 2007, we’ve focused on creating an organization committed to the personal and professional growth of those who choose to work with us. At HGIS, we have remained independent—unlike many firms who have been acquired by one of the many consolidators now operating in our industry. While other agencies appear independent and talk about offering a form of equity in something larger, we offer the opportunity to actually become an equity owner.
Keeping our autonomy has allowed us to make decisions in the best interest of all those who work at HGIS and remain focused on building a company where owners and employees alike can thrive. Compensation Plans
We offer flexible and competitive compensation plans. Sales executive packages include highly incentivized commission programs, benefits, internal referral bonuses, and the opportunity to participate in the agency as an equity owner. For those serving client needs, we offer competitive salaries, benefits and a bonus structure that rewards staff when the agency succeeds.
Employee Benefits
As an employee of HGIS, your coverage is paid 100% for medical, with the opportunity to select dental, vision and additional voluntary benefits. Education
As the insurance environment is constantly changing via new laws, coverages and forms, ongoing education is critical to meeting our clients’ needs. To encourage employees to seek out and continue their professional education, HGIS assumes the cost for professional designations, classes and seminars, including providing paid time off to attend. Among our staff you’ll find a multitude a designations—including CIC, CPCU, ARM, CISR, AINS, and CAWC—each contributing to our agency’s reputation for industry knowledge and forward-thinking solutions.
